Donald Mills Named new UWA SBDC Director - Donald Mills joined the staff of the University of West Alabama SBDC as Center Director on September 5, 2007. Mills brings over 18 years of experience in counseling, government procurement, and technical assistance to the center. He previously worked with the SBDC at Alabama State University as a Procurement Specialist and with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program. In addition, he has coordinated thestate-wide Entrepreneurial Development Institute Conference for the Department of Transportation’s DBE Program. His vision and strategic plan for UWA’s SBDC includes more outreachand visibility for the center. The SBDC conducts satellite counseling sessions in four other counties in the service area. The UWA SBDC is building upon the resources and partnerships ithas with other organizations in the area.
