Mrs. Carter was nominated by the Troy State Small Business
Development Center, Troy, AL.  The Troy SBDC operates under the Alabama Small Business Development Consortium (ASBDC).  The ASBDC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the entrepreneur in the state of Alabama.

ASBDC state director, William Campbell, states “Mrs. Carter is a shining example of today’s entrepreneur.  I am glad we were able to nominate her for this award.” Campbell continued “I am thankful we receive the funding to assist people like Mrs. Carter.  Without the support of Senator Richard Shelby and his support of the Alabama Small Business Development Consortium and the Small Business Development Centers located at eleven universities through out the state people like Mrs. Carter would go unaided.”
