12th Annual Small Business Procurement Conference and Matchmaker 2-day Conference  (Nov 6th Virtual & Nov 7th In-Person)

This two-day hybrid conference will offer educational presentations, contracting opportunities, and business connections between federal agencies, prime contractors, and corporations with Alabama small businesses.  This annual event is designed to foster contracting opportunities between federal, state, and local governments, primes, and private entities with all Small, Women-Owned, Minority-Owned, Small Disadvantaged-Owned, HUBZone-Owned.

The conference will kick off on Day 1, Wednesday, November 6th, with educational procurement readiness workshops held virtually via ZOOM.   

Day 2, Thursday, November 7th, the educational workshops will continue and culminate with an opportunity for small business attendees to present their “Capabilities Pitch” to showcase their products and services directly to procurement decision-makers and small business contracting specialists from government and corporate agencies.  November 8th session will be held in person at Alabama State University Dunn-Oliver Acadome Banquet Room located at 1595 Robert C. Hatch Drive, Alabama State University, Montgomery, AL, United States, 36106.   Lunch is provided.

To ensure that agencies are speaking with vendors capable of meeting their needs, the Matchmaking sessions will be segmented into four (4) major industry categories: Construction, Information Technology, Transportation/Logistics, and Professional/Service/Technical/Health.  Space is limited to 10 businesses per agency with 7 to 10 minutes to pitch.  This session is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Pre-registering early is strongly encouraged. Small businesses interested in participating in the matchmaker must submit their capabilities statement by email to cyoung@alasu.edu by 5 pm, Friday, October 25th. 

Alabama SBDC hosts this event at ASU in honor of our veterans. 

The cost to attend is $30.00.
